SEPTEMBER 2026
We are over the moon that our incredible Prem Aware Ambassadors have been named winners of the Outstanding Team category at this years British Association of Perinatal Medicine Gopi Menon Awards!
Our 40-strong team of volunteer Ambassadors work across the UK, giving their time to raise awareness of the lifelong impact premature birth can have on learning and development. In just the last 18 months, they helped more than 200 schools and Early Years settings to become Prem Aware. Supported by funding from the University of Leicester, our Ambassadors encourage education settings to ask about birth history at registration and to complete free, evidence-based online training developed by the PRISM research team.
Each one of them is helping to change practice, giving reassurance to parents and ensuing thousands of children born prematurely are supported to reach their full potential.
We couldn’t be prouder of them and are absolutely delighted to see their passion and hard work rewarded.
